Message from the Ambassador

Dear friends,

As the newly appointed Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Bamako, I respectfully greet you. It is with genuine warmth and a deep sense of responsibility that I arrive in this historic and resilient country. I am pleased to affirm my sincere commitment to fulfilling this important mission and to further developing bilateral relations between Iran and Mali.

Since the opening of our Embassy in Bamako (1982) and the Embassy of Mali in Tehran (2019), our diplomatic relations have entered a new era. Cooperation has since strengthened across all areas, including development, education, trade, and investment – grounded in our shared Islamic and cultural values.

These positive developments also pave the way for new domains of cooperation, such as peacekeeping and counter-terrorism, particularly in the Sahel region, with the ultimate goal of regional stability. As Ambassador, I will continue to pursue this trajectory through stronger political and security relations based on mutual respect.

Iran’s approach to Africa, especially Mali and the Sahel, is founded on a "Sincere and Win-Win Partnership." Despite challenging conditions, we consider Mali a strong and viable partner. We fully support Mali’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and stand aware of the threats facing our Malian brothers and sisters. We believe that stability, lasting peace, and reconciliation in Mali are essential not only for its future but for the entire Sahel-Saharan

region. We are honored to stand in solidarity with Mali.

Beyond regular Embassy activities, I place great emphasis on people-centered bridges between our nations. Through Iran Clinics (active in Bamako and elsewhere for three decades), Iranian Scholarship Programs, and Al-Mustafa University’s educational services in Bamako, we are investing in Malian youth and enduring friendship.
As your Ambassador, I am committed to the well-being and development of the Malian people. I encourage all interested in Iran-Mali relations to consider our Embassy a second home.

Our consular services are accessible 24/7 via the E-consulate system. In emergencies, please contact our emergency email or hotline (+223
